Updates from AFROHA

Supporting Girls’ Education Through Community Partnerships

AFROHA has worked alongside local partners, schools, and community leadership to support orphaned and vulnerable girls facing barriers to secondary education.

Through community-led identification and collaboration with school administrations, girls at risk of dropping out due to limited access to basic school requirements were supported to continue their education. This work focused on removing practical barriers that often prevent full participation in learning and undermine dignity and confidence in the classroom.

The experience reinforced AFROHA’s belief that education-centered support, when grounded in local knowledge and partnership, can create meaningful opportunities for girls and strengthen long-term outcomes for families and communities.

AFROHA continues to build on these lessons as part of its ongoing commitment to education, equity, and community-led solutions.
