WHO WE ARE
WAAMU- African Organisation for HIV/AIDS was created in 2008 to help fight HIV/AIDS in Africa. Our main objectives are:
1.EDUCATION : Millions of people in Africa are not educated. As a result, they are not fully informed about the causes and effects of HIV/AIDS.Our first objective is to educate as many people as possible about this disease. We believe it is the first step towards reducing the spread of the disease.
2.TREATMENT: Millions of people are already infected with HIV/AIDS and require treatment. Our second objective is to provide medication to help prolong lives.
3.COUNSELING: Millions of people have already died of AIDS and many have left behind orphans. Our third objective is to help orphans and provide counselling to the affected families.
4.SELF SUSTAINING PROJECTS: Millions of people are unemployed.Our fourth objective is to create small projects that will help people who are unemployed and infected sustain themselves. These projects are also meant to help orphans live productive lives.
